About
After a well-received inaugural event in Chicago, US in 2022, we are delighted to bring the Off-Highway Conference to Europe for 2023.
In Chicago we discussed the outlook for markets in a post-Covid world, the impact of supply chain & shipping bottlenecks and the industry’s journey to zero carbon. We were delighted with the feedback from attendees, which was overwhelmingly positive.
We will explore similar themes in Brussels on October 25th. Although Covid has receded, economic challenges remain in the shape of high inflation and rising interest rates. Supply chains remain stretched, and there has been a clear shift by many manufacturers to on-shore production and chose suppliers on the basis of proximity & availability as well as just price.
And of course the industry’s decarbonization journey continues to take its first early steps. Diesel still powers well over 99% of the 1 million or more of the construction machines sold each year and more than 99.9% of the estimated 10 million+ machines in service around the world. But alternative energy sources such as battery-electric and hydrogen are clearly a high growth area today and are absolutely the future of the industry.
